WJRS 2010 Rose Days Report
As part of our society’s charter, we love to share our joy and knowledge about roses with the general public. This spring, members of WJRS visited several of our local Good Sense garden centers for “Rose Day” presentations. We had the opportunity to talk about roses and to introduce our society to interested visitors. Several visitors signed up to become new members on the spot! It’s a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours supporting our local garden centers who do so much to support the WJRS, and we encourage you to sign up early next year to join the fun. Rose Days this year were held at three of our Good Sense Garden Centers: Garrisdon’s Garden Center on the White Horse Pike in Clementon; Magnolia Garden Village on the White Horse Pike in Magnolia; and Triple Oaks, S. Delsea Drive in Franklinville. Many thanks to our intrepid Rose Consultants: Brenna Bosch, Sue Gebelein, June Hament, Cyndy Scalf, and Sally Schweitzer.
Contact June Hament, Good Sense Coordinator, for more information.
